Since his debut album, Doggystyle, Snoop has sold over 23 million albums in theUnited States and 35 albums worldwide. The California native was a near instantsuccess, with a staggering 800,000 copies of his debut album sold in the firstweek of its release. On the forefront of the West Coast G-funk hip-hop scene,his singles "Who Am I (What's My Name)?" and "Gin and Juice" reached the top tenmost-played songs in the United States, and the album stayed on the Billboardcharts for several months.
