It debuted in April 1974 and received an Emmy nomination in 1975 forOutstanding Children's Special.Like the Great Pumpkin, lovable Linus has lots of peculiar beliefs. The EasterBeagle made his first appearance in a 1968 comic strip, where Snoopy imitatesthe Easter Bunny by dancing around with a basket of eggs. In the TV special"It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown," Linus tries to convince everybody thatthe Easter Beagle will come, much as he tries to convince everyone that aHalloween gift-giver is coming in "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown." Andsure enough, come he does! However, when it's poor Charlie Brown's turn, no eggsare left. Linus is a steadfast feature of the Peanuts crew since 1952. Always equippedwith his blue blanket, Linus is the middle child of the van Pelt family, alongside Lucy and Rerun. As Charlie Brown's best friend, the pair is often seensupporting each other, talking about their problems, and even arguing with eachother (usually about the "Great Pumpkin").Fun fact!It is said that Linus’ failure to be elected class president is due to hisinsistence on speaking about his belief in the Great Pumpkin. But I say: staytrue to you, Linus. Learn more about Linus, the Easter Beagle, and the whole Peanuts crew here[https://peanuts.fandom.com/wiki/Easter_Beagle].
